NortonLifeLock confirmed that its systems remain secure and have not been hacked, but customer accounts had been subjected to unauthorized access. The investigation confirmed that LifeLock customers were being targeted in a credential stuffing attack, which commenced on or around December 1, 2022. Gen Digital, which owns NortonLifeLock, started detecting account compromises on December 12, 2021, when its intrusion detection system started generating alerts in response to a high volume of failed login attempts. NortonLifeLock has recently notified approximately 6,450 individuals that their accounts have been accessed by unauthorized individuals and that their Password Manager accounts are at risk. Just a few weeks after LastPass confirmed hackers had stolen a copy of users’ encrypted password vaults comes the news of another password manager data breach.

The management is poor at best, they focus on having meetings and taking ownership of projects that never get complete, yet they are never held accountable for these projects. Its amazing that they can keep your identity safe when they cant keep their system up and running. I cant begin to explain all of the system issued they had and still have from what I understand. They focused purely on the bottom line and took shortcuts when developing new systems. Then things changes, they started to hire only from outside the company and began neglecting the employees that helped them become successful. They treated employees like they were really special and even though they were experiencing high growth they attempted to maintain high employee satisfaction. I worked at Lifelock for over 3 years and when I first started they had everything going for them.
